Is the problem your offer? Or HOW the offer is communicated??

"So...do you like playing the recorder, Nolan?"

We're in the car heading to Jiu Jitsu practice, and I just learned that my son Nolan πŸ‘¦πŸ» is trying out a new instrument at school.

I was all excited to talk about this until he barks from the backseat...

"I don’t even know how to play!!" 😑😑😑

From his tone, I can sense he is appalled at me for having the audacity to ask such a stupid question.

Geez Louise, where did THAT come from?

You were JUST talking about it so happily!!

What the heck did I say that was so wrong, boy????!!!

...is what I might have said if not for my daughter labeling me "the best mommy in the world".

So, I put my β€œbest mommy in the world” hat on, take a pause, and ask...

β€œWell...do you like BLOWING INTO the recorder?”

"Yeah, I do." πŸ‘¦πŸ»

The shadow and scowling face instantly pass, and I get my answer.

He likes playing the recorder.

A simple answer to what I thought was a simple question.

Unfortunately, my question didn’t match his lived experience.

To him, "playing" means being good at it.

He doesn't identify as someone being able to play.

So, my question was a mismatch.

It's these little things you learn about your kiddo and as a parent.

The tiniest things will throw them off.

But guess what? It also happens to adults, especially the ones you're trying to sell to.

You create what you think is an obviously perfect offer, and then no one buys.Β

No one even asks questions about it πŸ₯²

The good news is that the problem isn't the offer itself (as long as you are solving a problem or pain point).Β

The problem could be that your prospects simply don’t recognize themselves as someone who needs your offer -- just like my son didn’t see himself as someone who β€œplays” the recorder.

And this is exactly what I break down in Hidden Gems Issue #4.

I’ll show you how to make your prospects feel instantly seen in your messaging.Β Not because youΒ guessed the right words but because it's the words your clients are already using.Β

By pulling directly from testimonials, surveys, and real client conversations, you’ll learn how to turn their exact words into messaging your prospects see themselves in...right away.Β

And don't take my word for it.
