The first of the snow has just started falling here in Austin!
So, I grab my son Eden and venture out for a super short stroll outside our home.
At 10pm in 26-degree weather lol.
“Eden!”
“Yeah, mommy?”
“Is this fun???”
“Yes!!!!”
“Eden?”
“Hm?”
“You’re wearing CROCS!! What are you doing, man?!”
(I took this pic just 20 min ago.)

“Hehehehehe!”
And he runs back inside.
We are a bit giddy as we usually don’t get snow.
And yes, yes, I do know that this storm could go totally sideways.
I was here in Austin during that crazy ice storm a few years ago, when all those massive heritage oak trees came crashing down because of the added weight from all the ice.
And the power potentially going out is also not great 😰

But hey, I am mature enough to feel the fear and allow myself to enjoy the first few flurries with my young son.
There are so many scary things going on all the time, but if we completely cave into the negative, we'll never enjoy ourselves!
This is my exact take when writing a newsletter (or any type of content creation, for that matter).
There are feelings of fear whenever you put yourself out there because you inevitably open yourself up for criticism and ridicule.
But don't ever forget that you're also opening up yourself to the enjoyment of the three cs: connection, creativity, and cash.
After doing this for some time, I have come to believe we need to make it fun for ourselves, or we just won't last.
And clearly, the way I make it fun for me is telling micro stories.
Stories so small, they have no real beginning, middle, or end.
It's just a sweet teensy slice of what's happening right now.
It's great!
I get to catalog cute memories, build a writing habit, and practice some sales skills regularly.
Because you should be selling (or encouraging some sort of action) in every single email.
So then naturally (← said in a fancy British accent for some reason), you'll need to learn how to segue your stories into a low-pressure sales pitch.
And lucky for you, I have a little copywriting guide where I show you exactly how to do that.
